Whakaki Resilience Group Charitable Trust

The purpose of the Trust is to support the development and implementation of programmes and initiatives to address social, cultural, environmental, economic and community wellbeing in the Whakakī area and throughout the Wairoa District. In particular the Trust will: - Actively promote the relief of poverty; - Support educational initiatives that will lead to positive outcomes and enhance the capability of members of Whakakī and Wairoa including: o education relating to health literacy; o education relating to land based solutions; o education relating to environmental protection including but not limited to emergency preparedness; - Support Māori and community innovation for improved outcomes including: o Iwi and other community based initiatives; o Māori and other community initiatives; o Māori and other land owner initiatives.
