The purpose of the Society is to foster strong, connected and resilient communities and provide opportunities, support and resources that enhance the wellbeing and inclusion of individuals, families and whānau.

In furtherance of this purpose, the Society will strengthen and support the wellbeing, resilience and connectedness of the Huia and Cornwallis communities by:

(a) fostering community participation and social connection;

(b) providing and maintaining facilities and resources for community use, including the operation, maintenance and improvement of the Huia Hall;

(c) supporting emergency preparedness and community resilience;
