Westy Trust

Westy Trust's primary purpose is to initiate and organise community fundraising events in Waitakere for the sole purpose of supporting and promoting talented youth in Waitakere in respect of their aspirations in sport, education, and or cultural pursuits. The main fundraising event being the Waitakere City Half Marathon and Fun Runs/Walks 5km run or walk, 10km run or walk and 21km run or walk. The funds generated from the event are given back to the community by supporting the youth of West Auckland. These have been in the form of scholarships such as paying for basic sports needs such as shoes and fees to enable those in most need the opportunity to play sport. This iconic West event is high profile and engages community.
