The Trust seeks to achieve the following aims and objects: 1. Religious and Spiritual Purposes A. To establish, maintain and support a Sikh religious institution and gurdwara dedicated to the teachings and principles of Sikhism, including Naam Japna (remembering One God), Kirat Karna (earning an honest living), and Vand Chhakna (sharing with and serving others). 2.Community and Public Benefit Purposes A. To establish, operate and support charitable, humanitarian, cultural, educational and community initiatives for the benefit of the wider public irrespective of religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, age or background. B. To undertake seva-based community activities including food relief programmes, community kitchens, welfare support, outreach initiatives, youth development, education programmes, wellbeing initiatives and humanitarian assistance, including initiatives such as Seva Kitchen Porirua.
