Wellington Rural Fire Authority

The purpose of WRFA is to: 1. Comply with statutory obligations and operational standards set by the National Rural Fire Authority 2. Maintain a fire plan which details how the WRFA meets its obligations under the 4R's - reduction, readiness, response and recovery 3. Promote and carry out fire control measures 4. Provide leadership and advice to landowners and the public, and create awareness of fire threats and risks Mission - Minimise the social, economic and environmental impacts of fire in the Wellington Rural Fire District Vision - For the WRFA to be an integrated organisation that provides effective and efficient management of fire in the rural fire district.
