Wellington Land Search and Rescue Incorporated

The charitable purposes of the Group are:

(a) provide land-based search and rescue capability; (b) deliver search and rescue services to the New Zealand Government's appointed lead agencies for emergencies; (c) support other search and rescue organisations operating in New Zealand as necessary or desirable; (d) evolve relations that will support operational, training and mentoring outcomes that best serve the interest and focus of the Society; (e) undertake, promote and encourage reduction activities that reduce the likelihood of an event occurring or the impact of an event should it occur; (f) undertake, promote and encourage readiness activities that create better SAR outcomes for the lost, missing and injured; (g) carry out any other activities that are required to implement the purposes above.

Pecuniary gain is not a purpose of the Group.

All income, benefit or advantage of the Group must be used to advance the charitable purposes of the Group.
