Wellington Insight Meditation Community Trust

The trust was established for charitable purposes, with the following main objectives: • To provide opportunities for people to practice meditation in the tradition of insight meditation derived from the Theravada school of Buddhism • To try and make this available to people regardless of their financial status • To provide educational resources supporting meditation practice • To provide a community or sangha which generates opportunities for people to connect with and learn from insight meditation • To provide instructions in insight meditation using authorised teachers in the insight meditation tradition • To provide facilities where individuals and groups may learn and/or practice meditation • To choose to undertake and promote any activities which promote peace in a peaceful manner as agreed by the trust • To support insight meditation teachers, resident in New Zealand in any way the trust may think desirable for the promotion of its objectives.
