The objects for which the Trust is established are to carry out charitable purposes in New Zealand for the benefit of the public as follows: To foster and assist the training and development of surf life savers within the boundaries of the District; To provide ongoing support by way of education, training, equipment and facilities for people involved in guarding and saving lives on beaches in the district; To assist in the retention of surf life savers in the district and to increase the number of surf life savers in the District; To promote the skill of surf life saving and resuscitation throughout the district.
