WEA Book Discussion Scheme

The advancement, encouragement, promotion and provision of adult and community education throughout New Zealand as a means toward a just and equitable society, through the promotion of reading and discussion as a path to learning; promoting literacy, particular within sectors of the community traditionally under-represented within book groups; promoting the value of education, arousing both an individual and a collective interest in the value of education and in creating a well-informed public.
