To operate a non-commercial venture to bring good quality, well designed and, in some cases, remedial toys and equipment within the reach of children to help them reach their full potential. To assist parents/guardians/caregivers by providing toys of sufficiently high standard and durability (where possible conforming to New Zealand Standards Specifications) that will extend basic physical, mental, sensory and perceptual skills of children. To assist parents/guardians/caregivers by providing toys and equipment for children who have special needs. To inform parents/guardians/caregivers of the facilities and toys available and of the best use of the toys and equipment for the benefit of their children. To publicise the work of the Library to the general public and if necessary to publish pamphlets, books, booklets and other matter as shall from time to time be considered necessary.
