"The Wairarapa Playcentre Association acts as a resource body providing services to its affiliated Playcentres. The Association provides adult education, property and other various areas of support to Playcentres to ensure they meet external requirements for a Playcentre to operate. The Association's main objectives are to: • encourage full parent participation and responsibility in the conduct of Playcentres; • coordinate the activities of Playcentres in the Wairarapa; • faster good parent child relationships through parent education programmes; • promote public awareness of the Playcentre movement; • assist in the formation of Playcentres and in the training and approval of supervision teams for play sessions • receive monies on behalf of affiliated Playcentres from the Ministry of Education or from other sources, and to disburse same to affiliated Playcentres • raise, receive, hold and distribute funds, in the form of subscriptions, donations, legacies and bequests, and funds from
