About Waipã Rere Noa Incorporated
The Society is established and maintained exclusively for charitable purposes (including any purposes ancillary to those charitable purposes), namely: • benefitting the community by restoring the Upper Waipã River. The primary objective of the Society is to facilitate "the rehabilitation and restoration of the riparian margins of the Waipa River, upstream from Otorohanga Town to an upper limit of Toas Bridge”. The second objective of the Society is to facilitate "the rehabilitation and restoration of critical source areas, and the rehabilitation and restoration of remnant Kahikatea stands, in the Upper Waipa Catchment through the provision of training and resources”. The final objective of the Society is to “facilitate enrichment and enhancement activities within the Upper Waipa Catchment to promote the restoration of native forest ecosystems”.
