The object and purpose of the Trust is for the construction, promotion, future maintenance and administration of the Waikato River Trails walking and cycling track and associated facilities including any other purpose reasonably related which the Trustees consider to likely enhance the public enjoyment; protection and enhancement of the environment and the economic development of the Waikato River Trails
