To promote and foster the game of cricket at all levels throughout the lower South Island for persons aged 40 years and over. To advance education about cricket and cricket related skills amongst the region's public, especially as to the health, fitness and physical wellbeing of participating in sport and the game of cricket in particular and to promote greater community awareness of veteran's cricket and its contribution to the health, fitness and wellbeing of the overall community.
