Tunohopu marae offers a place of belonging and identity for descendants of Tunohopu. It is a place where identity, language and culture are nourished and has the following charitable purposes. Hosting of Manuhiri groups. It is the most widely used marae within the rohe for tangihanga and whanau gatherings. there are whanau paepae wananga, reo and waiata classes held to contribute meaningfully to education. Support and hpousing of local kapoa haka groups for practise. Nourishing and nurturing the wellbeing of whanau, hapu and iwi.
