The organisation exists to relieve poverty and hardship by supporting households in New Zealand experiencing energy hardship and fuel poverty. It does this by providing affordable electricity and energy wellbeing services that help vulnerable households live in warm, healthy homes. The organisation works in partnership with community agencies and operates on a not‑for‑profit basis, applying all surpluses to support low‑income households and promote social and environmental wellbeing.
