The purpose of the Tinui Voluntary Rural Fire Force is to undertake fire prevention measures as deemed necessary and to respond to and extinguish fires in vegetation within its designated area of responsibility for the benefit of the community. Where practicable, the Voluntary Rural Fire Force will also be available to assist other Rural Fire Forces under control of the Wairarapa Rural Fire District.
