About The Village Community Services Trust Board
The Village Community Services Trust was established to deliver effective and culturally appropriate youth and family services to support and empower Pacific peoples in West and Central Auckland. The Village Trust mission is to support young people to discover their full potential and to provide effective support that includes working with families and the wider community. The Village does this primarily through the delivery of educational and mentoring services, after school youth programmes, school holiday programme and family support programmes, including a community Food Bank. The Village takes its name from the notion that 'it takes a village to raise a child' and therefore positions itself to work in collaboration and partnership with stakeholder groups, local schools, central and local government agencies and departments and grassroots community groups. The Village Trust's Foodbank assists families who are experiencing financial hardship and ongoing food insecurity.
