This trust was established by deed on 21st October 1982 by Charles Murray Goodall. It is to be held in perpetuity and to pay the net annual income as decided by the Board of Trustees as described in the Second Schedule of the Trust Deed. Objects are described in the First Schedule and include the following: 1. Araiteuru Marae. 2. Otakou Marae. 3. Huirapa Runaka Ki Puketeraki 4. Ministers of religion recognised by the Araiteuru or Otakou Marae communities carrying out religious duties for the Maori community 5. Support of studies of the Maori dialects and language of New Zealand, traditional or modern musical, artistic or creative accomplishments, legends, genealogy, traditions and culture with particular reference to the peoples of the South Island.
