About The Girls' Brigade New Zealand Incorporated
Girls’ Brigade is an international, faith-based organisation that provides programmes and opportunities to empower and enrich girls and young women from all ethnicities, religious backgrounds and walks of life. Girls Belonging: Girls’ Brigade prioritises fostering connections among members, families, and the wider community, creating a sense of belonging. Girls have the opportunity to build strong relationships while being valued as part of a group. Girls Believing: The Girls’ Brigade programme is grounded in Christian faith and principles. A supportive environment is fostered which enables faith to grow, cultivates a sense of purpose and builds confidence and self-belief. Girls Becoming: Through Girls’ Brigade girls and young women can discover their strengths, develop leadership skills and take initiative in their communities. In programmes that encourage confidence and resilience, girls have the potential to become change-makers in their own lives and in the wider world.
