The purpose of the Trust will be to advance Education and Postgraduate Education or Research.  In particular the Trust will:

3.1 provide scholarships and other financial assistance for Refugees and their sons and daughters to attend schools, universities and other such educational and training services; and

3.2 provide financial assistance for the promotion, encouragement and fostering of research in relation to Refugees in New Zealand and the dissemination of such research for public use and for the improvement of the public’s general knowledge of Refugees within New Zealand.

3.3 seek, accept and receive donations, subsidies, grants, endowments, gifts, and bequests either in money or in kind or partly in money and partly in kind, for all or any of the purposes of the Trust.
