Its core purpose is to advance the study, appreciation, and performance of opera—encompassing the traditional repertoire, New Zealand opera, and concert performances in the southern region.

As New Zealand’s longest-running opera company, we are committed to enriching the dynamic culture of our community by producing high-quality, innovative operatic performances that support both emerging and established artists, whilst nurturing local talent.
