This Trust was established by deed on 19th June 1985 by Dr Peter William Fettes. It was set up in memory of Dr Victor Harris who lost his life in an accident in Gore on 21 May 1984. The object of the Trust is to assist with the education of high school students in Gore or the surrounding districts, to enable them to pursue higher education at any University, Technical Institute or Community College in New Zealand. A preference is expressed to assist any student to study at Otago Medical School.
