The Cambodia Rural Schools Trust was established as a vehicle focused on giving impoverished rural children in Cambodia an educational head start so they can find jobs or reach their academic potential. The Trust was initiated after agreeing in 2005 to support the building and ongoing running of Savong’s School, a locally run NGO that provides free education to young rural students with the purpose of enhancing their employability. The current beneficiary of the Trust is the Savong Foundation in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
