To support and promote the welfare and interests of tenants and the homeless. To educate tenants and inform them of their rights and obligations. To act for and on behalf of tenants and the homeless in their disputes with landlords and/or Government Departments, Local Authorities, other institutions and/or organisations. To bring to the attention of Government and Local Authorities, the needs and rights of tenants and to encourage self-sufficiency amongst tenants in the meeting of such needs
