To benefit the present and future members of Whakatōhea. To be a representative body of Whakatōhea that relates to the health, social, cultural, environmental, educational, and housing development and activities which promote the protection and improvement of the health, education, environmental well-being of Whakatōhea in the interests of their social, cultural, and economic welfare. To be a vehicle for the development of understanding of all peoples of the history and tikanga of Whakatōhea.
