Te Kohanga Reo o Te Reo Aroha will give all children the opportunity to enjoy learning the language and every aspect of Tikanga Maori. Te Kohanga Reo o Te Reo Aroha is a language nest with Te Reo Maori as the main Kaupapa, also including wairua Maori, waiata Whakapapa and Whaikorero. We seek to reclaim oral traditions, restore Tino Rangatiratanga and strengthen whanau management and decision making processes. Kohanga Reo is for all children from birth to 5 years who are nurtured from the bosom of whanau, hapu and Iwi. Raised in Te Reo Maori language programmes, Maori spiritual dimensions, geneology, oratory, songs, Maori values, laws, customs, self determination, collective responsibility and concensus.
