Te Horowhenua Trust’s principal activities, as outlined in the Trust Deed, are:

To deliver the provision of library services to the community within Horowhenua:

“Library Service” means the provision of comprehensive library services as determined from time to time by the Trustees and includes:

(a) the promotion of education and learning through a variety of resource media; (b) the promotion and development, through libraries, of the level of appreciation of literature, art, music, history and culture; (c) development and assistance in the pursuit of the acquisition, dissemination and application of knowledge and information of every kind; (d) co-ordination of the efforts of organisations and individuals in the pursuit of the acquisition, dissemination and application of knowledge and information of whatever kind.
