The trust has been established to enhance the mana of Te Hiku o Te Ika community by nurturing and empowering rangatahi. It is expected that this will occur through providing mentorship to rangatahi who whakapapa to Te Hiku o Te Ika, holding wānanga around the concept of turangawaewae, promoting healthy lifestyles including the sharing of information about nutrition, exercise, health and wellbeing, rongoa and mental and spiritual wellbeing and by providing intergenerational collaboration.
