Te Akau Primary School Parent Teacher Association

To support Te Akau School in the funding of resources to further the students' educational opportunities. To provide a bus to service students outside the MOE designated bus run. Members elect a committee which includes a Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary all of whom are volunteers. There are a variable number of volunteers in the organisation at any given time. Our charity relies on volunteers to run the charity. The governing body is made up of volunteers and all our activities are run by volunteers. We receive donated items (clothing, farming supplies, gift baskets etc) from various companies which are then auctioned off or won in our fundraisers. Income comes from fundraising activities/events and donations from the community. From time to time, the organisation applies for grants from various sources.
