3.1.0 To explore alternative uses on the land known as Tawera 897. 3.2.0 To recognise and protect the significance of the eco-systems and endangered species. 3.3.0 To preserve the rare and endangered species of flora and fauna for future generations. based on cardinal virtues

4.0.0 OBJECTS The objects of the Trust are to:

4.1.0 Provide for the well-being of Tawera 897 through the administration, guidance, and management of the spiritual, cultural, moral, social and economic affairs of the Karaitiana whanau. 4.2.0 Provide a management plan for the sustainable activities on these lands. 4.3.0 Provide protection and safety of the taoka for future generations. 4.4.0 Rehabilitation and restoration of indigenous plant and animal communities. 4.5.0 Conservation of rare, endangered and threatened species. 4.6.0 Provision of educational amenities.
