Tauranga Moana Maori Squash Trust

The purpose of the Tauranga Moana Maori Squash Trust is to support, promote, facilitate and educate the opportunities and events for whanau in Tauranga Moana, the wider BOP region and across Aotearoa regardless of their ethnicity, gender and age to participate in the sport of squash that integrates and supports Maori cultural protocols and values. In particular the Trust will: 1 - Support local, regional and national Maori squash tournaments, training events and programmes for Maori at all amateur grades through to national representation levels; 2 - Promote and uphold the kawa (traditional cultural processes) and tikanga (practices) of Tauranga Moana Iwi and the those values of other Iwi / hapū across Aotearoa; 3 - Advance and encourage the health and welfare benefits of participating in the sport of squash to Maori youth and families of all age groups in Tauranga and across Aotearoa; 4 - Provide other support and assistance consistent with this charitable purpose.
