Tairua Heritage Society Incorporated

a) to ensure that our local history is recorded, protected, promoted, remembered and accessible;

(b) to provide points of contact and disseminate information about our heritage through historical panels, media communications, published work and special events;

(c) to maintain a Heritage Centre so that our local community and visitors to Tairua can research and familiarise themselves with our 800 years of history;

(d) to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn about our heritage;
