About Supporting Families In Mental Illness Taranaki Incorporated
a) To provide support to families and whānau in Taranaki of people affected by schizophrenia and other mental illness and or addictions. b) The families of people with major mental illness are the primary focus and consideration of SUPPORTING FAMILIES IN MENTAL ILLNESS TARANAKI. c) To advocate on matters concerning the well -being of people affected by a mental illness and or addiction. This includes both people with schizophrenia and their families/whānau.
d) To support and promote evidence based treatments and interventions for the treatment of mental illnesses e) To support and promote the provision of quality services to persons with mental illness and/or addictions including the provision of respite care, housing, education, social, leisure and other services.
f) To support research into the causes and treatment of mental illnesses, and /or addictions.
g) To promote information and education programmes to create greater public awareness and understanding within
