Stroke Wanganui

Provide support for Stroke Survivors and their family / whanau in the Wanganui region. Provide regular social stimulation: Organise monthly social afternoons for stroke survivors, and their Carer/Support person. Provide a variety of entertainment and afternoon tea. Arrange transport to and from social afternoon as required. Produce monthly newsletter and distribute to financial members. (Membership $15 per annum from 1 July 2023) Provide literature and information concerning strokes. Committee Members visit and support stroke survivors as required. Support and liaise with Stroke Aotearoa New Zealand. Support Stroke Community Adviser (appointed by Stroke Aotearoa New Zealand) Raise Stroke Awareness in our community. Contact new referrals and follow-up as required. Financially support media advertising for other local Groups & Organisations promoting for Older Person (Health & Wellbeing; and various Medical Conditions)
