The mission of the Catholic church is expressed in her three-fold responsibility; of proclaiming the word of God, celebrating the sacraments and exercising the ministry of charity. Our parish is a community of the Christian faithful entrusted to the pastoral care of a priest. The parish exists so that the community may grow in faith, share faith and transform the world through its faith. St. Mary's Parish, Avondale is a vibrant, multi-cultural and friendly parish. Our parish logo is 'Growing in Faith Together' and it is with this that we see ourselves not as individuals but as a 'parish family' who come together to worship, to receive and spread the Word of God and more importantly, to receive the Body and Blood of Christ through Holy Communion.
