(a) Promote excellence of sports medicine (b) Represent the interests of members (c) Enhance the standard and effectiveness of sports medicine practitioners (d) Facilitate professional education and development in sports medicine (e) Enhance the effectiveness of sports medicine in New Zealand sport, including in the interests of the community as a whole; and (f) contribute to national and international debate and share knowledge on all matters relating to sports medicine.
