-To foster and encourage public interest in the sustainable management of Southland for the benefit of the local and wider community -To educate NZers within Southland about management practices that advance the principles of sustainability of natural and physical resouces -To promote, monitor and achieve improved performance in the sustainable management of natural and physical resources for the community -To foster collaboration in the advancement of sustainable management of natural and physical resources and research to that end -The provision of and including development, maintenance or repair of buildings and equipment as is necessary for the furtherance of the objects for such 'charitable purposes' within NZ as that expression is defined from time to time to include by law of NZ and as approved by the Commissioner of IRD -The provision, supply and furtherance of the above objects and any other charitable purposes related to the above objects which the Trustees deem desirable
