Sands Taranaki

Sands Taranaki is a voluntary organisation that provides support and information to parents and families following the loss of a baby or infant during pregnancy, around birth or as an infant, and no matter how the baby died. We run support meetings in the community, offer individual support by phone or in person, provide books and resources and hold public events during Baby Loss Awareness Week. We provide moses baskets, clothing and memory items to Taranaki Base Hospital and to families in the community. We run information sessions for health professionals in the community. We also provide ongoing support to families in subsequent pregnancies and parenting.
