Rural Communities Broadband Trust

• To provide the ability to get an affordable and reliable access to the Internet for Rural and Remote Communities to every home which currently do not have access to ADSL technology. • It is envisaged that the society will apply for funds to build broadband infrastructure to fund community groups who want to provide broadband for that community. This needs to have local networks which will benefit local communities and their connectivity to other communities. Community groups may then use their infrastructure to go into other communities. • The purpose of the society must be lawful • An incorporated society cannot have an object that allows financial gain for members. But there will be management and consulting fees paid to professional organisations supporting this society.
