About Pou Kapua Creations Trust
Pou Kapua Creations Trust is the legal owner and guardian of Pou Kapua, which includes the Pou that stands 20 metres high, traditionally, and intricately carved in three dimensions from ancient kauri, totara, and steel, and painted, oiled, and decorated with paua, whalebone, crystal, and other adornments. It includes the two Moai (3 metres, 3 tonnes each) carved from hinuera stone. Pou Kapua stands at 770 Great South Road, Wiri, Manukau. Pou Kapua Creations Trust retains legal ownership and mana kaitiaki of Pou Kapua in perpetuity for past, present, and future generations.
