The charitable objects of the Trust are: a. To maintain a team of volunteers (the Pohutukawa Coast Emergency Response Team) able to respond to disasters and emergencies b. To support those volunteers to achieve NZQA qualifications in emergency response c. To work with Auckland Emergency Management (AEM) to provision a Community Lead Centre in the event of a disaster or emergency d. To support the community and emergency services by providing food, shelter, medicine or other necessities for life
