To preserve the wairua (spirit) and history, and honour the mana (power and prestige) associated with this taonga (treasure) by observing tikanga (cultural traditions) in the advancement of Religions and their practices, by meaningful manakitanga (support) of the spiritual lives of all people in our region Ngati Kahungnunu ki Heretaunga. The restoration and protection of this Church: Our lady of the Immaculate Conception 1880 now called Paki Paki Whare Karakia embodies this purpose
