About Otorohanga/Te Kuiti Visually Impaired Support Group
Our purpose is to continue improving quality of life of our clients by facilitating social rehabilitation by integrating people into the community by enhancing their communication and social skills. Develop their interests, listen to their concerns and provide knowledge on the care and services available to them. We will help them to build up their lost confidence, self esteem in a safe secure environment. Limiting their isolation . This year with Covid 19 the committee have kept in touch with our clients regularly by phone as many live on their own without transport and isolation has been evident. We have only had two meetings and two concerts that they were able to go to. The August meeting that was cancelled you certainly was aware that they were so looking forward to getting out and being with the friends. The voice certainly indicated that strongly.
