Ōtamahua/Quail Island Ecological Restoration Trust

To facilitate the restoration of indigenous vegetation and fauna on Otamahua/Quail Island and provide refuge for locally extinct or uncommon and threatened species of the Banks Peninsula region. To encourage educational activities pertaining to the island. To recognise, protect and enhance natural values and landscape character of the island. To recognise historical sites and respect those values of relevance to tangata whenua and non-Maori. To recognise and accommodate public use of the island.
