To promote and encourage interest in wool and in the arts and skill of shearing and woolhandling. To promote, arrange, control and carry out contests, competitions, championships and displays and encourage any and all other activities to further interest in the art of shearing and woolhandling and the promotion of the use of wool. To act either alone or in conjunction with all other persons or bodies in facilitating the conduct of any scheme designed for the welfare or advantage of the production, shearing, handling or use of wool. To assist in the raising of funds in order to support the above and to maximise the efficiency and cost effectiveness of money spent on carrying out the foregoing objects. To undertake and carry out any charitable activities in New Zealand.
