Open Dhamma Incorporated

The Mission of Open Dhamma Inc. is to promote the teachings of Buddhism (Dhamma) within the Canterbury area. We aim to promote a spiritual and ethical lifestyle among our members, and by extension the greater society. We provide regular classes expounding on the teaching principles of Buddhism, and practice sessions where these principles are put into action. We provide ongoing support to practitioners who have decided to advance their commitment to Buddhism. From time to time we undertake fundraising projects to enhance the simple facilities at the Centre or to assist members and those affiliated through Open Dhamma's activities who may have special needs. We also maintain contact with a variety of religious and secular organisations which share similar goals. Additionally, we provide services, on a donation basis, to elderly and/or challenged members of the local community.
