The NIISSA is a registered charitable organisation affiliated with the New Zealand Ice Figure Skating Association (NZIFSA). Our mission is to grow participation and foster achievement in ice figure skating by promoting a culture of friendship, fairness, and mutual respect, while ensuring the interests of all members are supported. Key Annual Activities 1. Deliver the North Island Regional Championships We host the annual North Island Regional Championships, providing skaters with qualification opportunities for the New Zealand National Championships and supporting NZIFSA squad selection. 2. Provide Skater Testing Opportunities We organise regular test sessions from Pre-Elementary to Gold level to enable structured skill progression aligned with national and international standards. 3. Run a Regional Development Camp We deliver an annual development camp, often with international coaches, to improve athlete performance and upskill local coaches.
