The trustee shall as their principal functions, under the guidance of Kaumatua and Kuia be kaitaki and be responsible for the Tikanga, Kawa and Wairua Maori of the Marae. They will act in good faith in exercising the powers of Trusteeship, be honest and diligent in fulfilling their role, and adhere to the terms and conditions of the Marae Charter. They will also be responsible for the overall administration of the Marae and Urupa. The Trustees shall promote the purpose for which the Marae is created, endevour to make the Marae complex available to such descendants of Rehua and extended whanau (as the first priority) and others who may wish to use the Marae facilities and are prepared to make an apporpriate koha towards the cost of operating the Marae facalities.
