To encourage all descendants of Nga Uri o Nga Hapu o Ngati Porou to join, participate and contribute to the growth and development of Ngati Porou ki Waitaha. To develop, strengthen and maintain communication and support between Ngati Porou ki Waitaha, Te Waipounamu and te Wa Kainga. To promote pride and dignity and whanaungatanga among Ngati Porou ki Waitaha. To promote, develop and maintain an administrative and economic base for Ngati Porou ki Waitaha. To provide activities and wananga that focuses on the learning of Ngati Porou haka, waiata, te reo, kawa, tikanga and traditions. To provide support for Ngati Porou in matters relating to their social, cultural, educational, emotional and spiritual well being.
